  • Stop precipitating factor
  • Supportive care, often in intensive care unit
  • Intravenous immunoglobulin has been shown to be effective and is now commonly used first-line
  • Other treatment options include: immunosuppressive agents (ciclosporin and cyclophosphamide), plasmapheresis
