Fibrates
A
Fenofibrates (more active, prodrug converted to fenofibric acid), and gemfibrozil
Lower TG and increase HDL
S/E—gemfibrozil and statins(contraindicated with simvastatin) together increases myopathy and rhabdomylosis
Both increase warfarin so monitor INR
Not be used in renal or hepatic dysfunction or PPAR gamma gallbladder dxs

Ezetimibe
A
Cholesterol absorption inhibitor from both diet and biliary secretion in the GIT
Deplete LDL from liver and blood
Can be used alone or in combo with statins
Not used in moderate to severe hepatic dxs
SE less common
