A
  • Patients aged greater than or equal to 12 years with agitated delirium causing a mild to moderate risk to safety, when olanzapine has not been administered or is ineffective.

  • Known severe allergy

Cautions of Droperidol?
(PIES)

A
  • Parkinson’s disease. Worsens movement
  • Intoxication.
  • Elderly and/or frail.
  • Concurrent administration of other sedatives.

Side Effects of Droperidol?

A
  • Hypotension, generally due to rapid IV administration

Dosing Regimes of Droperidol?

A

10mg lM or lV.
- Reduce the dose to 5 mg if the patient is frail.
- The initial dose may be repeated once after 20 minutes.
