What is abreaction?
It’s therapeutic technique that allows the patient to gain access to repressed material (usually traumatic), experiencing the emotions associated to the newly accessible memory

What is DDx of dissociative amnesia?
Korsakoff, amnesie globale transitoire, epilepsie, hypoglycemie, TBI, brain tumor, CVA, ECT, substance…
What is the main difference between dissociative amnesia and global transitory amnesia?
In dissociative amnesia, the person still encodes so they can eventually retrieve the memories
