What is the difference between the visceral peritoneum and the parietal peritoneum?
The visceral peritoneum wraps around the organs whereas, the parietal peritoneum lines the abdominal cavity walls.
Where are the greater and lesser omentum?
In the abdomen extending from the stomach and liver to other abdominal organs.
Where is the gallbladder?
In the upper right abdomen, below the liver, and in the small space between the liver’s right and left lobes.
What is the relationship between the cystic, hepatic and common bile duct?
The cystic duct joins the hepatic duct to form the common bile duct.
What are the major divisions of the small intestine?
The duodenum, the jejunum, and the ileum.
What are sphincters?
Ring-like muscles that maintain constriction of a body passage.
