o Most common diaper dermatitis
o Mild erythema papules on convex surface, creases spared
o Treat – apply petroleum jelly btwn diaper changes so urine and feces sit on the jelly not skin

o If rash >3-4 days
o Intense erythema in the creases, some thrush in patients.
o Treat – oral nystatin

Monilial Dermatitis

o Crusty, scaly eruption in areas w/ high # of sebaceous glands
§ Can see on scalp and genital area

Seborrheic Dermatitis

o Superficial group A strep. Erythema, erosions, fissures purulent discharge
o Treat – oral penicillin or topical mupirocin

Perianal Cellulitis
