Contraindications - dexamethasone

• Systemic fungal infections
• Hypersensitivity to drug or other steroids
• Hypersensitivity to benzyl alcohol or sodium sulfite
• Do not give PO in severe SOB.

Pediatric dose - dexamethasone

Answer 4

Pediatric: 0.6mg/kg PO/IM/SIVP/IO to a single max dose of 10mg. Do not repeat dose
