A
- Immunosuppressant (Gengraf, Neoral)
- Used in organ transplant patients
- Inhibits T cells - Anti-inflammatory (Restasis)
- Thought to decrease inflammation associated with dry eye

Indications
A
- To increase tear production (for patients with Keratoconjunctivitis sicca)
- Kidney, heart, liver transplant
- RA
- Psoriasis

Contraindications
A
Patients with known or suspected hypersensitivity

Warning/Precautions
A
- Don’t touch tip to eye
- Don’t use with contacts (wait 15 minutes before putting contacts back in)

Adverse effects
A
- 17% experience ocular burning
- 1-5% experience conjunctival hyperemia, discharge, epiphora, eye pain, foreign body sensation, pruritus, stinging, visual disturbance
- Post-marketing: hypersensitivity, superficial eye injury
