Klinisch onderzoek cryptorchidie?
A
Testikel(s) niet palpeerbaar in scrotum

Diagnose cryptorchidie?
A
- Niet palpeerbaar zijn van testikel(s)
- Bilateral cryptorchidism: ↓ testosterone levels
- Unilateral cryptorchidism: normal levels (normal Leydig cell function)
- ↓ Inhibin B
- ↑ FSH, ↑ LH

Behandeling cryptorchidie?
A
- Meestal spontane indeling tot ten laatste 6 maanden
- Indien niet ingedaald na 6 maanden: orchidopexie (tussen 6 en 18 maanden)

Complicaties cryptorchidie?
A
- Testiculaire kanker
- Infertiliteit
- Torsio testis
- inguinale hernia
