How is location an endogenous factor that can affect place?
Places can be characterised by features that are present because of their location.
Eg. a coastal place may be characterised by a port due to its direct proximity to the sea.
How is topography an endogenous factor that can affect place?
Directly = valley areas may be characterised by flat land etc.
Indirectly = affecting land use
How is physical geography an endogenous factor that can affect place?
Directly = eg. characterised by rock type
Indirectly = eg. economic characteristics
What is one of the most important human factors directly defining the character of places?
Land use
