Small scale schemes that work with local villages to best suit their needs. They often only have positive impacts. Their aims are to make daily life easier for the local community
What are top down schemes?
Schemes lead by governments or NGOs that build big projects like dams to try and make a positive impact to the people and the economy. These can either do well or fail like the Akosombo dam. They often have positive and negative effects
