Abnormal basket growth in retina due to the rest of normal vascular growth
Causes – premature birth under 32 weeks and oxygen therapy
Can lead to retinal detachment and blindness

What may you see on X-ray?
Bowel necrosis from unknown cause
Presents with abdominal distension/mass, bloody mucous stool and bilious vomit
X-ray may show pneumoatosis intestinalis
gas filled bowl loops
Pneumoperitoneum

Hypothermia
Immunosuppression
Increased risk of SIDS
