What sort of communication techniques do I use:

A
  1. Listening-practicing good listening is key i believe. People want to feel that their concerns are being heard. Be patient!!!
  2. Repeating back the issue to confirm I have understood
  3. Be confident in my knowledge- usually preparation is key
  4. Be realistic about what I can offer
  5. Compromise- look for a comprise that works for both parties. Usually the answer is somewhere in between

How do I ensure good communication in my rental meetings:

A
  1. I use a variety of communication methods- visual with my spreadsheet schedule which I will share during the meeting, i will verbally communicate with the attendees and afterwards I will always circulate the minutes providing written communication of the actions
  2. I ensure the meeting has a clear structure so we will efficiently and effectively
  3. I will speak in a confident and concise manner

How do I prepare for a negotiation to ensure a good outcome

A
  1. I will research our position to understand the key facts and SW’s objectives
  2. I will gather all key date- titles, leases, photos, records of visits etc
  3. I will know our fall back position
  4. Be understand of the customers position
  5. Know what are musts and what are likes
