What happens during combustion?

A
  • Carbon and Hydrogen atoms in the fuel react with oxygen.
  • The carbon and hydrogen are oxidised.
  • If oxygen is unlimited Produces: Carbon Dioxide + Water.
  • Complete combustion.

What is incomplete combustion?

A
  • Takes place when there is not enough oxygen present.

- Produces Carbon Monoxide and Water.
