Clinical ECG (Abnormal) Flashcards
2 Signs of Ischemia
ST segment depression (most common, maybe on stress testing)
Symmetric T wave inversion
2 General Signs of MI
ST Segment Elevation
Pathologic Q waves (big and wide)
Early, Evolving, and Old MI Signs
Early: ST elevation w/ tall T (tombstone), but no path Q
Evolving: Deep wide Q w/ T and ST coming down
Old: Deep wide Q w/ T upright and ST normal
Reason for Tombstone
Looking at mirror of back wall
3 Leads for Inferior MI
II, III, aVF
4 Leads for Lateral MI
I, aVL, V5-6
2 Leads/Special Feature for Posterior MI
V1 and 2 upside down tombstone
Lead/Sign for RV Infarction
ST elevation in V4R
4 Leads for Anteroseptal MI
Leads V1-4
How to Tell Hypertrophy of L or R Vent (2)
More tissue so higher voltage in ipsilateral leads (and mirror in contra) and shift in axis towards hypertrophy side
