Q

What is blood made of?

A
  1. Plasma is a protein rich fluid that carries blood cells and makes about 55% of blood volumes
  2. Red blood cells make up about 45% of blood and contain hemoglobin which allows them to transport oxygen
  3. White blood cells the only blood cells with a nucleus they make up less than 1% of blood and recognize and destroy invading bacteria and viruses
  4. Platelets- less than 1% of blood these tiny cells help in blood clotting

16
Q

What happens to deoxygenated blood when the heart beats?

A

It is forced into the right ventricle

17
Q

Where does blood in the right ventricle go when the heart beats again?

A

It is forced into the lung

18
Q

How does oxygen Rich blood get through the heart to the body

A

It enters the left atrium than moves to the left ventricle, and then the oxygenated blood moves to the body
