Q

What is light reaction ?

A

In this

  1. In grana light energy in the presence of the pigments is being converted into the chemical energy.
  2. Product of this reaction are ATP & NADPH

Q

What is the dark reaction and what is the Calvin cycle?

A

In this

  1. It occurs in stroma
  2. It is the light independent reaction
  3. Here CO2 through reduction by ATP & NADPH is converted into glucose.
  4. the above process is known as Calvin cycle
