what is the importance of key workers?
-reduce stress for children-used as attachment figure-separation anxiety

- Shea(1981)-children became more sociable the longer they were at nursery-aggressive behavior decreased

- Belsky&Rovine(1988)-found that children put into daycare for 20hrs a week before 1yr=insecure avoidant with mother. over 35hrs=isecure attachment with father
- NICHD-found daycare=behavioural problems-especially in low-quality daycare
