Chicken pox MANAGEMENT

A
  • bed rest (due to malaise)
  • Fluids (diaphoresis= replace fluid loss)
  • ANTIPYRETICS (fever)
  • Daily lukewarm/tepid baths (for comfort to relieve pruritus)
  • Baking soda: Add one cup of baking soda to a shallow, lukewarm bath. Soak for 15 minutes.
  • Cut fingernails short and keep clean
  • Don mittens (pedia)
