Chemical testing Flashcards

1
Q

Method for testing cations

A
  1. Clean the wire (dip the end of the wire into the acid and then burn in a flame, repeat this three times)
  2. Dip the wire into the acid and then the solid sample
  3. Burn the sample in the flame
  4. Note the colour observed and compare to known colours
