Chapter 9- Multiple Baseline And Changing Criterion Designs Flashcards
Delayed multiple baseline
Experimental design in which the initial baseline and perhaps the intervention are begun for one behavior (or setting, or subject), and subsequent baselines for additional behaviors are begun in a staggered or delayed fashion
Multiple baseline across behaviors
Experimental design that begins with the concurrent measurement of two or more behaviors of a single participant in the same setting
Multiple baseline across settings
Experimental design in which a single behavior of a person or group is targeted in two or more different settings or conditions
Multiple baseline across subjects
Experimental design in which one target behavior is selected for two or more subjects or groups in the same setting
Multiple baseline
Experimental design in which simultaneous baseline measurement is begun with two or more behaviors, subjects, or settings the IV is then applied in sequential fashion to the other behaviors, subjects, or settings
Multiple probe
A variation of the multiple baseline design that uses intermittent measures, or probed, during baseline to evaluate the effects of instructions on skill sequences
Changing criterion
Experimental design in which an initial baseline is followed by a series of treatment phases consisting of successive and gradually changing criteria for reinforcement or punishment
