Who was Confucius?
He is a Chinese thinker/philosopher who addressed political and social order.
What is Daosism?
Daoism is a religious philosophy that appealed to an educated elite. It offered salvation to those who observed their doctrines and rituals. Daoist priest also experimented with drugs, herbs, potions, and spices, that supposedly granted immortality.
Who was Qin Shihuangdi?
He was the first emperor of China. Under his reign, roads and bridges were built throughout the realm. His tomb consisted of 15,000 terra-cotta sculptures placed throughout the room.
Who was Han Wudi?
He was an emperor during the Han dynasty. Two major policies that he pursued were administrative centralization and imperial expansion.
What were the Silk Roads?
The Silk Roads were an extensive network of trade routes devised by traders and merchants that linked Eurasia (Europe/Asia) and Northern Africa. Its name comes from high-quality silk that ended up being a common commodity on these trade routes.
