What are vigorous recreational activities?
those that are done during leisure time such as hiking, boating, fishing, horseback riding etc
What are vigorous aerobics? (With oxygen)
activities that are at least 6x that of resting (6METs) and have enough intensity to improve cardiovascular fitness
What is the MET range?
500 MET-minutes to 1,000 MET minutes to meet physical activity guidlines
Where are vigorous and recreational activities included on the pyramid?
on the 2nd and 3rd steps of the pyramid
- 2nd (jog, bike, aerobic dance)

Activities that are slow and sustained for long periods without frequent rest time
What does low impact mean?
reduces the risk for injury or soreness and one foot stays on the floor at all times. good for beginners
What does high impact mean?
when both feet leave the ground such as aerobic dance
What are examples of vigorous activities?
hiking, jogging, basketball games, soccer games, bicycling, and carrying heavy loads
What does paralysis by analysis mean?
overanalyzes of skill behavior. When concentration on too many details interfere with a player’s performance
