What is wellness?
The integration of many components that expands one’s quality of life and to make a significant contribution to society. Wellness reflects one’s well-being about life and how to function effectively.
Components of Wellness (5)
Social, Emotional, Mental, Spiritual, and physical
Social Wellness
the ability to interact with others successfully and establish relationships. Someone involved
Emotional/mental Wellness
The ability to cope with daily circumstances and to deal with personal issues positively. Someone Happy
Spiritual Wellness
The ability to establish a values system and act on beliefs, and have lifetime goals. Someone who is fulfilled
Physical Wellness
The ability to posses physical fitness and motor skills. Someone who is fit.
Components of Health Related Fitness (5)
Body composition, Muscular endurance, Cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and strength
Components of Skill Related Fitness (6)
Agility, Power, Reaction Time, Balance, Speed, Coordination
Hypo-kinetic

Hypo-kinetic Diseases (4)
Heart disease, low back pain, Type 2 Diabetes, and Obesity
What is Force?
The ability to transfer energy to a movement of force. Such as martial arts
What is agility?
The ability to change the entire body in direction of movement rapidly and accurately
What is speed?
Ability to perform a movement in a short amount of time
What is Balance?
Maintenance of equilibrium while stationary or moving
What is Coordination?
Ability to use senses with body parts to perform motor tasks smoothly
