The healthy eating pyramid is a food selection tool developed by nutrition Australia.It is a simple visual guide to the types and amount of foods that individuals should consume daily for good health.

The pyramid is broken into the five food group (I.e. fruit ,vegetables ,grains ,dairy ,lean meat and poultry) and health facts
The size of each layer is equivalent to the proportion of each food group that should be summed on a daily basis.

Healthy eating advisory service
The Healthy Eating Advisory Service is funded by the Victorian Government and delivered by Nutrition Australia Vic Division. The Healthy Eating Advisory Service works to promote consumption of healthy food and drinks in early childhood services, schools, hospitals and workplaces across Victoria .
What does Healthy eating advisory service do
- Phone advice and support to assist in providing nutritious, tasty and cost-effective food and drink choices, including assistance with menu planning
- Staff training on developing and modifying menus, menu assessments, considering options for healthy vending machines and developing a healthy food policy
Webinars for health professionals
Webinars are developed for health professionals to provide them training and education to assist them in promoting healthy eating in the community. The webinars cover a range of topics, including:
