Epidermis
outermost layer of skin; contains no blood vessels
Dilating
Getting larger; widening of your vessels; dilates when cooling down constricting when warming up

Sebum
lubricates the hair and prevents drying; the secretion from the sebaceous glands
Stratum corneum

Hypodermis and what does it contain
is the subcutaneous layer; connects the skin to the deep fascia covering the underlying muscle; consists of areolar connective tissue and and amounts of adipose (fat) tissue
Eccrine glands
widely distributed throughout the skin and functions to cool the body
sebaceous glands
sac like structure and have an oily secretion called sebum which lubricates the hair and prevents drying
Ceruminous glands
