What are Koch’s 4 postulates?

A
  1. Pathogen must be present in every case where the disease is found
  2. Pathogen must be grown in a pure culture
  3. Pure culture pathogen must be inserted into a healthy animal and the animal must develop the disease.
  4. The pathogen from the newly sick animal must be grown in a pure culture and must be identical to the original pathogen.
