Causes Chagaus disease and is an animal like protista.

They are pretty small. They are bigger than bacteria but smaller than animals.

What is plasmodium?
A
Is an animal like protista that is transmitted through mosquitoes.

What is the role of the mosquito in the transmission of plasmodium in the body?
A
The mosquito needs to bite you twice to get it into your system.
- It will bite you once where the sporozoites of the plasmodium is created.
- once bitten again the plasmodium is transferred into the humans body and will goes to the liver
- becomes a different form of plasmodium and then attack the red blood cells.
