Q

swine GA risk

epidural anesth

what are swine under anesth prone to

A

malignant hyperthermia. extremely rare in potbellied pigs.

lumbosacral junction in swine. lido without epi common for swine blocks.
with xyla 2 mg/kg because lower will not work and higher can cause hind limb paresisfor 36h or more

**hypoventilation -> hypoxia. swine larynx sensitive to pressure or touch, even from saliva -> laryngospasm
