dx aggutination or complement fixation

b. malitensis causes Malta Fever in humans

dx on clinical signs, prevent by vaccinating parasite control and gradual feed changes

Inward rolling of the eyelid which causes irritation of the cornea and conjunctiva-usually bilateral

Signs: blepharospasm, photophobia, epiphora, keratoconjunctivitis

Treatment: antibiotics or surgery
Prevention: Reduce housing dust, don’t use affected animals
