Exercise-induced asthma
A narrowing of the airways in the lungs in response to strenuous physical exertion, also known as exercise induced bronchoconstriction.
Hypercapnia
Excessive carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in the blood, usually a result of inadequate respiration.
Glycosylated Hemoglobin
A measurement of the amount of hemoglobin to which glucose is bound.
Comorbidities
The presence of additional diseases or disorders occurring with a primary disease or disorder.
Post-exercise hypotension
A phenomenon of prolonged reduction in resting blood pressure in the minutes and hours following an acute exercise bout.
Congestive Heart Failure
A chronic progressive condition resulting in the inability to pump adequate blood to the body.
Pre-eclampsia
The development of elevated blood pressure and protein in the urine after the 20th week of pregnancy.
Asthma
a chronic, inflammatory pulmonary disorder that causes recurrent spasmodic episodes and is characterized by hyper-irritability or a reversible obstruction of the airways, known colloquially as asthma attacks.
Diabetes
characterized by high blood-glucose levels due to sugar regulation impairment within the body
Coronary Artery Disease
The most common form of heart disease and accounts for the most disease-related deaths in the United States. It is characterized by the narrowing, hardening, and blockage of coronary vessels from atherosclerotic plaque build-up.
