Where are the kidneys?
Between the dorsal body wall and parietal peritoneum

Wha is the retroperitoneal position?
The kidneys are tightly covered by the parietal peritoneum on their anterior surface

Branch off the abdominal aorta and supply oxygenated blood to the kidneys
What are the function of the renal veins?
Drain blood from the kidneys and empty into the inferior vena cava
