Peer review
A paper is evaluated by other scientists who have expertise on the topic under investigation
Registered reports
Researchers submit their plan to conduct a study and the journal decides before the study is conducted whether its eventual results will be published
Paper sesssion/ symposium
In which each speaker had 15 or 20 minutes to present his or her research and to answer questions from the audience
Poster session
Researchers display summaries of the research on posterboards providing the essential details of its background, methodology, results and implications
Clarity
Information is conveyed in a clear, articulate, and consise manner
Sentence construction
How sentences are constructed in the most explicit manner possible, and overly complicated sentences are avoided
Word choice
Use specific terms, use verbs that convey precisely what you mean, and avoid excessive jargon
Conciseness
Say what you are going to say as economically as possible
Using Gender inclusive/ gender neutral language
Use generic pronouns, pay attention to the word “man” and non equivalent forms of words

Abstract consists of:
- The problem under investigation
- the participants used in the study
- the research procedures
- The major findings
- The conclusions or implications of the study
Introduction
Describes for the reader the problem under investigation and present a background context in which the problem can be understood
Method
Describes precisely how to study was conducted
Participants
Describes the participants and how they were selected
Apparatus or materials
Describes the special equipment or materials used in the study
