To be effective, a biopsychosocial model must consider the type of illness, the people in the family system that influence the illness, and the well being of the patient. the family must understand the situation and make changes to continue functioning as a family.

expierence small positives than small negative moments in daily life with the patient. depepends on the type of disease. the uplift have a buffering effect against the effect of the hassles.

measure self-efficacy of the caregiver. most important are taking care of youself and dealing with ifficult interactions and emotions. yoiu must have time for yourself and your emotions.
Protective buffer
caregivers do not always show their true emotions to protect the patient. as buffering increased, stress in the patient also increased. but it had no effect on tjhe relationship
what is important to remember when you’re a caregiver for your partner?
to show more expressions of gratitude. The quality of a relationship can moderate the effects of coping. Relation ship quality goes hand in hand with the motivation to continue caring for the patient.

Integrating the relationship into your self-concept mediates the effect of experienced load.
