Q

What are some negative effects of plantation farming?

A

It’s usually in sparsely populated areas/ causes isolation because workers are brought in and housed on site (often in poor conditions). Causes inefficient use of land because only one crop is grown (the most profitable). Profits often go to international corporations and child slavery is common.
