Q

Describe the process of urination

A

When the bladder is full stretch receptors signal to the body that the bladder needs to be emptied.

Parasympathetic Neurons fire and the detrusor muscle contracts which causes the internal sphincter to relax.

When the individual is ready to empty the bladder by contraction of the abdominal cavity which causes compression of the bladder which increases the flow of urine.
