Care for people who need assistance during certain hours

A condition when the immune response is triggered to an allergen.
Symptoms of Allergies
Sneezing, Difficulty breathing, and skin issues.
Animal - Assisted Therapy (AAT)
Bringing pets into a facility to provide stimulation
Assisted Living
They don’t need 24-hour service but still require daily care
Assistance Devices
Equipment that helps an ill or disabled person perform activities

People with different education levels and experiences that provide care

A legal term that means a person can be held responsible for harming someone else

A licensed nurse who provides care and gives treatments.

24-hour care in long-term facilities

For people with low incomes, and disabilities

65 years or older, or permanent kidney failure
Nursing Assistant
A person who performs assigned nursing tasks and gives personal care
Outpatient care
The care given to people who have had treatments, procedures, or surgeries, is short-term care.

An emphasis on the person needing care and his or her individuality and capabilities
Policy
A course of action to be followed every time a certain situation occurs
Primary nursing
A method of care where registered nurses provide a lot of daily care.
Procedure
A method or way of doing something
Registered Nursing (RN)
Assesses residents, creates care plans, monitors progress, etc.
Professionalism
The use of proper standards of behavior at work and in work-related settings
Rehabilitation
Care is given to restore functions after illness or injury
Resident
A person living in a long-term care facility

People responsible for the care of both their children and aging relatives
Skilled Care
Medically necessary care given by a skilled nurse or therapist
Subacute Care
The care given in hospitals or long-term care needs less care than for an acute condition.

A nurse in charge of a group of residents for one shift of duty
