Using fingers to press on a body part to detect a mass, enlarged organ, or tenderness
Palpation
Tapping on finger on the fingers of another hand that’s spread across the chest or abdomen to listen for differences in sound indicating the presence of fluid.

Disease not responding to treatment
Refractory
Temporary improvement in symptoms without disease being cured
Remission
Abnormal condition or complication cussed by a disease and remains after the disease has been cured
Sequela
Set of symptoms and signs associated with one particular disease
Syndrome
No hope of cure or recovery from the disease, and ending in death
