The ways in which aspects of our identities converge
ex. the multiplicity of lived experience, with particular interests in how patterns of
oppression are interrelated in institutional practices

A theory describing a consciousness of duality. Perceptions are created by living on the margins or border spaces
Comparative Rhetoric
Studying a culture’s rhetoric from its own perspective which includes ethical questions about how to study cross-cultural rhetorical work
Afrocentricity
Centering black experiences, joy, empowerment, etc. in theories of rhetoric
Nommo
the power of words to move audiences; includes the sounds that words make.
“words’ vibrancy force”
Comparative/Cultural Rhetoric
Comparative rhetorical traditions across different societies and cultural is how to create meaning and knowledge. Cultures are rhetorical.
