circadian rhythm
biological rhythm that occurs over approximately 24 hours
-sleep-wake cycle is linked to our environments natural light-dark cycle
how can circadian rhythm be disrupted
extended exposure to light, jetlag, sleep deprivation, rotating shift work
REM sleep
