This behavior is seen in close acquaintances’ of a leader, manager, or administrator. They are often seen supporting all actions even when strong evidence indicates the decision or information is wrong. Sometimes these individuals are known as “yes men” and can be recognized as those that agree with everything that is said by the supervisor.
Blind loyalty
The process of altering, modifying, or making different an idea, device, or policy.
Change
Intermediate, short-term goals implemented to periodically monitor progress toward a long-term goal
Checkpoints
A sense of consciousness of reliance on circumstances faith, or belief that one will act in a right, proper, or effective way.
Confidence
10% to 15% of the members of a given group who believe that a proposed change is a good idea.
Core of believers
A set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that are found in an institution, community, or organization generally unconsciously accepted by the members. Many times identified as “tradition.”
Culture
Changing items or processes in interdependent systems to support the original change
Facilitating
A group of individuals who represent the total organization and are appointed to define and devise a plan for implementation of a major change effort
Guiding coalition
Positive (e.g., a rule or system of rules governing conduct or activity, money) and negative (e.g., discipline) reinforcement provided to make change more attractive
incentive
A person generally in authority that guides and champions an organization or group through significant and often controversial changes.
Leader
A technique using a combination of sound, video and written text for conveying ideas or information.
multimedia
A small-scale preliminary study conducted to evaluate the feasibility, time, code, and adverse consequences, many times unintended, prior to the implementation of a change in policy or equipment
Pilot program
This is the process to persuade others that the change proposed needs to be at the top of this list to start and complete in an expeditious fashion
