How is CIN graded?
I-III based on depth of mucosa showing neoplastic change
Main risk factor for CIN/squamous carcinoma of cervix
Persistence of high-risk HPV subtypes 16, 18 and 33

Smoking
COCP
Immunosuppression
Early first intercourse
Symptoms of carcinoma of cervix (3)
Abnormal bleeding
Pelvic pain
Urinary symptoms (blockage/blood)
Treatment of cervical carcinoma?
Dependent on stage; early stage likely to be curable with surgery (Wertheim’s hysterectomy)
