eqn to calculate molar concentration
the formula for calculating molar concentration is (g)(% dissolved). then the answer can be found by dividing this number by the molar mass of the substance, and dividing that by 100 g/mol.
why does ice float
water is least dense at 0C. so below 4c water molecule separate to maximize h bonding interactions. this lowers density and this is why ice floate. max density is at 4C for water
charges of gamma, alpha and beta particles
gamma- 0,0
beta- 0,-1
alpha- 4,2
properties of chiral carbons (2)
must b sp3 hybrizied and be attached to 4 diff things
eqn for formal charge
use eqn #valence e- (bonding e/2) - nonbonding e. so for ox: 6-6/2-2 =+1
lialh4 and kmno4- what does each do
l reduces, k oxidizes
where do disulfide linkages form btwn
cysteine residues
which way does light entering a dense medium bend? entering a lighter medium?
towards the normal, away from the normal
what are the purines in dna/rna
a,g
pyrimidines in dna/rna
c,u,t
how many h bonds form btwn a and t
2
how many h bonds form btwn c and g
