What is Bronchiectasis?
A
Permanent dilation of the airways secondary to chronic infection or inflammation.

- Post Infective (e.g. TB, Measles, Pertussis, Pneumonia).
- CF.
- Obstruction e.g. Cancer, Foreign Body.
- Immune Deficiency (Selective IgA, Hypogammaglobulinaemia).
- ABPA - Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis.
- Ciliary Dyskinetic Syndromes e.g. Kartagener’s, Young’s.
