Q

Thoracodorsal nerve lesion

A

Loss of motor to latissimus dorsi, weak adduction extension and medial rotation. cant place dorsum of hand on back

17
Q

Axillary nerve lesion

A

Deltoid and teres minor, skin of upper and lateral aspect of the arm superficial to deltoid. Weak abduction and flattening of shoulder

18
Q

What is a common nerve injured in a seatbelt injury?

A

Pectoral nerve

19
Q

An ulnar nerve at the axilla causes what?

A

sensory loss to ulnar innervated areas, and ulnar claw, 4th and 5th MP joints are hyperextended and IP joints are flexed

20
Q

What hand symptoms does a lesion of the median nerve lead to?

A

Ape hand

21
Q

What deformity is observed in upper trunk palsy?

A

Waiters tip deformity.

22
Q

What are the main symptoms of a middle trunk paralysis

A

Radial nerve and extension

23
Q

What are the symptoms of a lower trunk palsy?

A

loss of sensation on medial part of arm and loss of flexors in the hands. Lower trunk palsy can also show some horners syndrome effects on the autonomics heading to the neck

24
Q

What are symptoms of a lateral chord lesion?

A

loss of sensory to lateral portion of arm, weak flexion of forearm and wrist, digits and pronation.
both musculocutaneous and median affected.

25
Q

lesion of the medial chord?

A

Ulnar nerve knocked out. loss of sensory to medial part of arm and hand. Weak flexion of the wrist and digits and weak movement of the thumb and pinky.

26
Q

Posterior chord lesion?

A

Loss of sensory to posterior of arm, weak extension of everything. and weak movement of the shoulder, Both the radial and axillary never are knocked out.
