Scar tissue less than 6 months old. Should be avoided. Don’t massage that area as wound could reopen

Adapt to avoid the area.
How would undiagnosed lumps or swelling impact the massage?
Area should be avoided
How would pregnancy impact massage?
Don’t touch stomach. They should lie on their stomach do their back in a seated position.
How would skin disorders impact massage?
Avoid areas where there is eczema, psoriasis or dermatitus to prevent irritation.
How would varicose veins impact massage?
Avoid the area.
Menstruation - impact on massage?
avoid abdomen.
If client has history of thrombosis or embolism how would this impact the treatment?
Strokes on extremities should be towards the heart. Doctors note.
If client has heart disease can they have a massage?

If client has high or low blood pressure can they have a massage?
Elevate couch slightly - review regularly
Can a diabetic have a massage?
They should stay hydrated and eat prior to treatment.
