Effects: analgesic, sedation, resp dep, inc ICP, miosis, constipation, urine ret, dec clearance of biliary stones
Codeine, Buprenorphine, Nalbuphine, Pentazocine (Partial Agonist)
Codeine: anti-tussive/ cough supplement
Dextrometorphan: non-opioid cough suppressant
Naltrexone/Naloxone (Opioid Receptor Antagonist)
Naltrexone: oral, used for alcohol, opioid abuse or dependence
Naloxone: IV, used for opioid overdose

low bioavail, releases histamine to cause vasodil, inc GH, prolactin, ADH,
can treat Pulm Edema

slow onset
good oral avail
