How do we wrap a bandage and why?
Distal to proximal to prevent edema
Home Care
Change immediately if becomes wet or soiled
Date of application/removal/change
Assess toes twice daily for swelling, sweating, pain

Comes in contact with wound or skin

Non-adherent=holds ointment, allows for
drainage
Adherent=debridement, wet-to-dry

Tape stirrups, +/- telfa, rolled cotton, kling (flp stirrups up), elastikon, +/- zonas tape
Modified Robert Jones
Only difference is secondary layer – cast padding instead of rolled cotton
