What is the base of the axilla?
Axillary fossa (armpit), formed by the concave skin, subcutaneous tissue, and axillary fascia.
What is the apex of the axilla?
The cervico-axillary canal

What is the anterior wall of the axilla formed by?
- Pectoralis Major
- Pectoralis Minor
- Pectoral Fascia
- Clavipectoral Fascia
What is the posterior wall of the axilla formed by?
The scapula and subscapularis on its anterior surface and inferiorly by the teres major and latissimus dorsi. The posterior axillary fold is the most inferior part that can be palpated.
The medial wall of the axilla is formed by what?
thoracic wall and overlying serratus anterior.
The lateral wall of the axilla is formed by what?
Intertubercular sulcus of humerus

- Axillary vein/artery
- Nerves of cords and branches of brachial plexus
