1
Q

Q

COUNTER EVIDENCE (ANIMALS)
What did Lorenz say about attachment?

A
  • Goose imprinted before being fed and formed an attachment with Lorenz even if he doesnt feed the goose
  • SO, we can way that attachment does not develop as a result of feeding

COUNTER EVIDENCE (HUMANS)
What did Schaffer & Emmerson say about feeding?

Q

What does the social learning theory ignore? what is the effect of this?

A
  • Ignores interactions and quality of attachment formed by synchrony and reciprocity
  • SO, in cupboard love, there are no complex interactions and therefore there would be no relationship between them and low quality levels of infant-caregiver attachment
